Largely influenced by his new collection of still from the 1972 apocalyptic sci-fi classicMetropolis, signed by the film's director Fritz Lang to its young star Brigitte Helm. It was sheer coincidence, however, that there was a Metropolis feel to the set for today's Chanel haute couture show. All in all design God Karl Lagerfeld steals your last breath and seeing this was enough for a happy send off to fashion heaven.
